Milk ATM prices in Kenya by capacity

These are the current prices for H-TECH milk ATMs sold by Herritech Ventures. They are arranged by tank size, the single biggest factor in the price.

Current listed prices incl. VAT (updated 20 October 2026). Full range: Milk ATM machines price list.

What decides the price of a milk ATM?

  1. Tank size. A bigger stainless tank needs more steel, a larger cooling unit and more insulation.
  2. Cabinet design. Portable units are compact and simple. MDF-concept cabinets look like a shop fitting. Double-door freezer designs add storage for yoghurt and other chilled products.
  3. Cooling. The compressor must bring fresh milk down and hold it at 4–6 °C all day, even in a hot shop front.
  4. Dispensing and payment. Coin, token or button dispensing, and whether the unit measures by volume or by money value.
  5. Installation. Positioning, power connection, first cleaning and hand-over.

Running costs to budget for

CostWhat to plan for
ElectricityThe cooling unit runs all day. Use a dedicated socket and consider a voltage stabiliser where power fluctuates.
Milk stockBuy only what you can sell within the safe holding time; spoilage is the biggest hidden cost.
CleaningDaily cleaning and sanitising of the tank, taps and nozzles (detergent, sanitiser, hot water).
LicencesKDB milk dispenser licence, county business permit and public health requirements.
Rent and staffA busy estate location usually earns back its higher rent through volume.

Which size should you buy?

Estimate how many litres you will sell on a normal day, then choose a tank that holds that amount with a little spare. A new outlet with uncertain demand is safer starting with a 100–150 litre machine and upgrading once sales are proven. A cooperative or milk bar on a busy road can go straight to 300 litres or more.
